At NCI, the safety and health of our employees is front and center in everything we do, and a highly visible part of our business culture and value system. We strive to provide a work environment free of hazards and we require adherence to safe work practices at all times. Our motto is "Safety 24/7…Live It!" Our goal is zero injuries and safety incidents.

In the past 10 years, we have reduced injuries at our plants by more than 90% due to stronger safety programs and enhanced risk management oversight. In addition, we adopted a very successful interactive behavior based safety program where our employees engage and interact with other employees on a daily basis regarding safe and unsafe work behavior.

Through our safety training we aim to make safety a core value among our employees in their work and other parts of their lives. Toward this end:

• NCI employees undergo initial safety training when they are hired. We also require monthly
  and annual trainings for many positions to ensure that our employees remain up-to-date and
  knowledgeable in their specific work areas.

• Our behavior-based safety-observation program provides a forum for coworker feedback during
  daily "tool box" meetings which our employees share and discuss everyday safety practices.

• Members of our NCI Safety and Risk Team continually conduct safety audits throughout all our
  operations, and do hands-on and webcast training.
