Uses: Our components are used in new construction and retrofit in the industrial, commercial, institutional, agricultural and governmental sectors.
Products: NCI is the single largest producer of metal components in North America, holding a 12% market share. We design and manufacture metal roof systems (including standing-seam roofing), wall systems, purlins, girts, metal partitions, roll-up doors, header panels and related trim. We also specialize in energy efficient products such as our insulated panel systems and cool roofing.
Process: Metal components are fabricated using roll-formers and other metal-working equipment. Coils of pre-finished steel are unwound and passed through a series of progressive rolls that form the metal into various structural shapes, including roof and wall panels.
Customers: Our customers include small, medium and large contractors and subcontractors, specialty roofers, regional fabricators, regional custom-designed building fabricators, post-frame contractors, material resellers, distributors, lumberyards, cooperative buying groups and end users.
New initiatives: We expanded our insulated-panel capabilities and product offerings through the retooling of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities located in Mattoon, IL and Richmond, VA which will be made operational in 2012. Our ongoing commitment to scrap reduction and procedural improvements is increasing our product yield and cutting costs.
