Uses: Custom-designed building systems are used for manufacturing facilities, energy-related facilities, mining, warehouses, office buildings, showrooms, retail shopping centers, banks, schools, places of worship, distribution centers, government buildings, community centers, etc.
Products: We are one of the two largest producers of metal building systems in the United States, accounting for a 28% market share. We design, manufacture and sell low-rise (up to five stories) metal buildings for nonresidential markets.
Process: We design, engineer and fabricate our buildings to meet the customer's requirements and the structural provisions of the specified building code. We make the different parts of the building at our various manufacturing facilities within our accredited quality program guidelines. We ship these components to the job site for assembly with usually no field welding required.
Customers: We have customers in all the nonresidential sectors, including commercial, industrial, agricultural, governmental and institutional. We market our building systems through an in-house sales force to an authorized builder network of over 3,400 builders. We also sell building systems to general contractors and directly to end users as well as to private-label companies, both in the U.S. and around
the world.
New initiatives: We increased our focus on developing and marketing simpler buildings that are less costly and easier to fabricate, allowing for a quicker turnaround time. In addition, we reduced cycle time and costs through centralization and standardization of manufacturing, engineering and drafting across all our buildings brands to enable a heightened focus on delivering absolute quality. Likewise, we consistently empower our companies to capitalize on our synergies in concert with their unique brand identities, cultures and customer service strategies.
Manufacturing facilities: We have eight facilities for manufacturing and distributing custom-designed building systems throughout the United States and in Monterrey, Mexico.
